Many of you are aware that I dabble some on eBay. I often sell my dear sister Singleton's artwork there & although we don't make much money, we do enjoy it. (In fact, the JustGiveMePeace Jesus is for sale now)
Now, really my time is very important & it does seem like I always have something...multiple somethings...going on, especially at this time of year. Ah, but not too busy to wander around the world of ebay in the wee hours of the night....
It amazes me the stuff people list & sometimes even more amazing is the stuff people buy.
I happened across this one seller & found myself trapsing through his world of tee shirts. I found one I want ('Free Hugs,' but in a tank top...some of you may even know why;) & I found a couple that make me think of other people...people over here in my virtual world.
This green tee shirt with the peace sign has words written in English... see if you can read it. I wish I'd found it last week, I would be sending it to the one & only Orhan Kahn
Then I found one of his listings that had me in stitches. His marketing skills may not be as great as the his nerve... but none-the-less I found this entertaining. I think it is really for adults only. Item # 110059316900
So here's a toast to all the dream-chasers out there...
even those that wear wigs, tanks and/or spandex with their work socks!

I love this Jesus Paige..I want to buy it! I'm checking on it at ebay......I also checked out the ebay listing you mentioned....cracked me up!
I like the Jesus picture. I'm wondering how I could make money from my drawings. They're a bit more cartooney and less elaborate. So the shirt in Arabic says free hugs, is that right? I love it... As long as that's really what it says.
Vicci~
I just emailed you! :)
That guys' listing were too funny... what a fruitcake! I admire his sense of humor & gumption, if nothing else!
Yes, maybe if we sell enough of her work, we can get her back on the computer again ;)
Anne~
Just missed your post! We were posting at the same time! LOL
I think you can sell anything on ebay...although Pam's work gets very little there, we still enjoy it. You may want to give it a shot. Your work is wonderful.
BTW, it does not say Free Hugs, nor is it in Arabic. It is in English. Free Hugs is a different tee but the font was so plain I did not post a pic of it. Look again & see if you can tell what it really says, again it is in English :)
My husband LOVES ebay. I lack the patience. But there is some good stuff if you don't mind paying the shipping. I have friends who swear by it.
SLB, you were asking me about sitemeter, here is the addy. http://www.sitemeter.com/?a=home
Also, if you will notice on my blog the hyperlinks are in a different colour, so you can click on them to see the link to wherever. And on the sidebar there is a link to montchan http://montchan.blogspot.com/
shes ppretty darn funny! If you click on the sitemeter button on my sidebar, it will take you to my sitemeter stats. But if you see the "Home" button click on that and you too can sign up :) IT's a fantastic blog tool.
SLB, that's a neat-o tshirt and yes I can read what it says. Funny listing!
I like eBay, it's just so darn fun!
I should've checked your eBay listing before I commented, off to do that now...
Yes, I like the hippie Jesus very much!
I added you to my fave sellers and will watch for further auctions. :)
I am a writer but.... I honestly don't know what to say here.
Hi, I guess. :)
eBay Lady!
Peace Symbol
I Am Not A Terrorist
Yes, I see it now. Too cute!
Hi
that photo of Jesus remindes me of a Louis Bunuel movie:):)
Aaww, SkinnyLittleOne, you warm the heart oh so much! Such wonderful spirit and a LOL link to boot.
Many hugs, much peace and plenty of love!
That link was hilarious, ebay itself is such a entertaining site full of things that can surprise as well as leave you marvelling at the guts and spirit of some people.
Loved that artpiece too!Singleton is hugely talented!
*chuckling*
Now there's a car I could give the Brit for the holidays. LOL
He'd never forgive me.....ROFL
I NEED a free hugs shirt... but not a tank top. :)
Now, finally, I know what to get my wife. And I have you to thank for that.
Enemy~ Ebay can be quite addictive... if you have the patience. Luckily, I do more selling than buying...as I have a couple selling ID's. Some of my buyers purchase 100's of items per month...literally 100's.
Kitten~ Oh I will have to check all that out! TY!. December in the retail world, family coming & going & such has had me busier than I imagined.
Carina~ You post anytime with anything you like! :) You may like JustGiveMePeace link to right. It's a showplace of my sisters' doodlings without having to go to ebay.
Matt~ You? Speechless? Hard to imagine. I must be really stale ;)
Anonymous~ You Got It! peace.
Anne~ Once you see it, it's funny how obvious it suddenly looks.
Deepak ~ I have never heard of that actor.
TY Orhan~ Really I wish I had spotted that tee a week or two ago. Too funny & it reminded me of some comments you have made in the past.
Fuzzy ~ I wonder if some of the sellers have as much balls in their everyday world or if eBay brings it out in them.
Mel ~ Yes, your second half may really wonder when that wild man delivers the car to your door. I'm sure it would involve glitter.
JustRun~ I love that shirt too! Ah, but being in the south, a tank would do me dandy. ((Just Run)) I'm hugging you because of your kindred spirit AND because I know it's cold in your neck of the world!
Therapist~ Oh I am so glad I could help, even if inadvertantly. Free Hugs Tee shirt or did you find another? :)
THE PACKAGE ARRIVED TODAY!
Thank you so much, it cheered me up, big time! You are a gem.
I will be sure to make a post about it on DoaS. Keep your eyes peeled!
Orhan~ Oh Good! So now we know Global Priority takes one week to go from southern USA to Australia...not bad! I hope you enjoy the toothpicks & all the other hoopla I sent your way. p&l.
That T shirt is cool- I bet it would piss off some people before they took the time to look at it.
The second link LOL I havfent heard that song in ages!
I like the green peace-sign t-shirt. Terrorist or not, I don't think I would wear it in small town Texas. I'm not sure which would cause the most problems, the peace sign or the "apparently" Arabic writing.
Pixie~ I bet that you are right & I am sure many people would still be p.o. even if you told them what it said.
Slag~ LOL, living in a small town in north Georgia, I totally relate to what you say. I don't think 1/2 the people here would even take the time to try and read it, they'd just assume something.
