GILYSVVM! My Precious Kyle and her determination and devotion, dedication, and spit! That damned Campbell Girl Spit! May our circle be unbroken and grow and grow and grow......
what! is it my fever or my tests or have i really been living somewhere else? in short, what's going on?
My daughter has done this!
Let Love Grow!
Is it true though that they only take virgin, unprocessed hair? Do you know Paige?
How wonderful! Thanks for sharing. :)
Singleton~ YKILYT! Kyle has definitely got that spit! :) The women in our family rock! And they begin at such a young age!
nithya n~oh, I hope your fever goes away! My sister, Kimbies has stage 4 cancer. Singleton (The Hippie Parade) is also my sister. Kiddo pictured is Singleton's grandbaby, who just donated her hair to Locks of Love. Locks of Love makes wigs for children who go bald from chemo treatments. :) Didn't mean to throw you for a loop.
angela marie~ I am so NOT surprised that your beautiful daughter has done this as well! Lol, they can and will gladly take 10" of non-virginal, permed, colored or processed hair, as long as it has not been bleached and/or chemically damaged. I'll insert link soon. As always , P&L Angela Marie
Just Run~ TY!!!
Wow,indeed love grows!this is wonderful. How is Kimbies doing now Skinny?Sending a whole lot of thoughts and prayers her way!

She's gorgeous through and through.
*sending hugs and prayers*
oh!my!god! that's such a wonderful thing to do,at this age...i feel terrible...i can't donate hair,as is obvious from my picture but my heart goes out to them and also my prayers...
Oh my Heavens....That sweet little magpie...she made me cry!
My Sweet Child,Like Mama, Like daughter! I love You!!!! Kimbies!!
yes, she's so much like her Mama and so very very much like her Aunt! Love Grows....
She is such a pretty girl.
If my hair were long enough I would do it!What a worthwhile cause.
That's awesome. I'm currently growing my hair back out so I can donate to them again. :)
TY Everyone for you comments and for coming by...especially you, Kimbies! Really thoughtful of all of you especially since I haven't been bouncing around this blogland like I'd like to recently.
Kimbies is holding her own for the time being...back on chemo & following doctors orders at the moment. Everyone's thought & well-wishes mean the world to her. As she continues this battle, she continues to amaze me. She always says 'Paige I can handle this, you know I am an adult...but the children, the babies, the youngun's ...it breaks my heart to think that they have to go through this stuff.'
My hubby started with a shaved head & before too long he'll be able to give his locks of love. They say it takes one year to grow the req'd 10"...for me it has been 16 mos and I'm still an inch or so shy of the 10" needed but soon...
For those of you that have done it, I know that there is a child out there somewhere with a smile on their face because of you, young girl who can curl her hair because of you and a kid who isn't trying to get of class on picture day because of you.
For those of you that haven't or can't, that's ok. Knowledge is power & when you see someone with the mile long mop on their head, you can tell them about Locks of Love and the good that they do. You can also help me disband the notion out there that men shouldn't have long hair. ;)
Something about a blonde, Skinny.
skinny,
tink you baby! Dont wanna wake you up, but its 618 am and we're on the highway.....
see you in a few!
