Updates

Updates on the Skinny Little Blonde...
1- She misses her time spent leisurely traipsing through the blog-o-sphere & fears she will never be afforded such leisure time again... but is ever so grateful for the time she has had & thinks of many of all quite often.
2- Five of her five dogs have been sick or otherwise neurotic with the changes going on within her household. She is never lonesome & always feels needed.
3- Her hair measures 11" from the nape of her neck on the backside, so she will probably be getting it whacked around the holidays for Locks of Love.
4- Gone are her days of the 4-7 minute commute, as she is back into the grind of interstate travel, traffic jams & rush-hour mayhem. This means that approximately 55+ hours a week will be spent devoting herself to work....although this has proved to be a minimum.
5- Her automobile has a tribe of tiny ants residing in the rubber seals around the doors, the console & lord knows where else. She fears they will eat her electrical system & believes that they came from parking on her brick parkpad under the oak tree. These ants appear to all be crazy, as they do not walk in a uniform line & they are the fastest moving ants she has ever seen.
6- She will be attending a formal wedding & will, for the first time in her life, have to wear a cocktail dress... despite her belief that hippies should be exempt from such things, she is willing to do so for her good friend, the DeeBug ;)
7- For the first time in ages, she went to live musical venue, where she was able to meet, hug & get the autograph of G. Love from G Love & Special Sauce.
8- If she has her way, she will also be attending the Foo Fighters show in Atlanta on October 4th, maybe she will also get to meet, hug & get an autograph from the ever so talented David Grohl. She can't help but sing 'The Best of You' at the top of her lungs any time she hears it.
9- She has replaced her Starbucks bottled Coffee flavored Frappaccino addiction with McDonalds Regular Iced Coffees, but still believes McDonalds otherwise sucks.
10-Finally, the Skinny Little Blonde has started a small savings account for the first time in years...it is called 'Beach Money' and began with a twenty from SHE and is now up to 20.28!

Hope the puppies and the SLB will be cool. I'll check up on you whenever I can, so don't worry about a thing, Sing will keep you posted on all the good poems.

I miss ya, but you have a lot to do and a lot of correspondence to keep up with from others, so I don't mind your absence.

Spread the living, learning, laughter and love, or YOU aren't doing it right!!!

Whooo!Hoooo!I dug out the little pink piggy myself yesterday, 47cents from the laundreyroom, 2.12 from Jonah's floor (wait til I move the furniture!) and well, that's it for now! 7 days is only pennies away! Glad the dress made it there.....see even hippies know how to do it and keep our images somewhat intact! LOL! ILYSVVFM!

All hail the beach savings account!

Thanks for the update! I'm betting at least a little part of you will like wearing that dress. :)

Wow, you've been so busy!!!! Yay for Lock of Love! I'm still letting mine grow out to donate again. It's only halfway down my back right now and needs to get to my waist but meanwhile it's driving me crazy! Hope the pups will be well soon. Hate when they feel bad. Sounds like you're handling the ant problem better than me-last time that happened to me, I almost had a nervous breakdown (I have a fear of ants, especially crazy ones). And very awesome for your savings! I've been trying to do that and it's just not working right now. Hugs and take some time to relax! :)

Well......at least you're not bored!

;-)

A good hard frost will take care of those ants. We get 'em in Iowa. LOL

Iced coffee from McDonalds?!
*blech*
Had one.....won't have another.

(((((((( SLB ))))))))))))))

I empty pockets every night....and steal whatever's in there. LOL
AND laundry day? Last week I made 6.26!
'Course, it's always ME who leaves money in pockets...even if it's not me. LOL

Yeah... puppies hate long commutes.

Don't we all.

Life becomes work and driving to and from.

Ickyick!

update on kj:

she misses slb and will light up every time she sees a new post, even if it's infrequently. kj also knows that slb deserves and will be granted every break the universe has to offer.

I'm so sorry I've been away for so long from the sites of many good friends. I guess I didn't know you were going through such life changes. Hang in there, you were doing something else before you started doing what you're doing. Like me, I was looking for a job when I got the one I was quitting, things will change again and again.

I'll give you my autograph if you want it:-)

Sorry you have to commute and be so busy.

Take care and be well. Peace to All

I wish I could contribute to your beach account!

How lucky are you to be catching shows and meeting stars. I haven't heard of the first group, but I love the Foo fighters!

I hope the dogs are feeling better now. Yay for the locks of love and too bad you have a lot of travel that's keeping you away from blogging. Enjoy the Foo fighters and the wedding Skinny. Changes are always good:)

I know what you mean about the formal thing - I hate it. I no longer own a suit I refuse to wear ties and if I have to go to a formal event my attitude is if you don't like my sports blazer count me out.
My wife wore a bright red dress at our wedding - no conventions for us.
I am sure you will soon have you jar full of beach money and get away for some well earned leisure time

1. Why can you no longer leisurely traipse? Looks like a new job. So you traipse leisurely less. Don't give up the traipsing . . .

2. Cool . . .

3. Always hate to see a sister cut her long, flowing hair, but you're doing it for a good cause, so I'll defer. And I've often seen it be a plus where there's a slender and elegant neck beneath . . .

4. Ouch . . .

5. Perhaps they're not ants, but benevolent aliens looking out for your spiritual welfare. Then again, maybe they're just ants . . .

6. You are exempt, but this is a special occasion and you are doing it for another, and not for yourself, in true warrior fashion . . .

7. G Love rocks. I posted him on Saturday . . .

8. Foo Fighters rock, as well. I posted them also, but a long while back. Maybe June. The Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers of a new generation. Same quality. Same real-ness . . .

9. Ouch. Make your own . . .

10. Skinny, blonde, AND frugal . . . this one's a keeper . . .

Thanks . . . I had fun commenting to this post . . .
