Now, what is the pretty lady doing in the photo? It looks like she's inhaling a lot of that smoke. I'm afraid she's going to fall into the fire.

What kind of crackery is going on here?

Oy......

What just happened to this brain of mine!!

Stucksongitus happens for some of us poor folks when they read lists like this. *sigh*

It's all good though......it'll get that "I Wanna Hippopotamus for Christmas" song edged out!!

Ha! The Doobie Brothers were the headliners at the first big rock show that I went to back in the 70's. Your post is bringing back a lot of good memories.

That was absolutely brilliant!Haven't really heard them all,I missed being in that great 70's!!You inspired me to try some with my favorite singer's lyrics.

When the pressure's on and you're all alone(Bryan Adams)

Sammy - Might I suggest you check out a movie called 'Standing in the Shadows of MoTown: the Funk Brothers' Since we have musical taste in common I think you may enjoy this entertaining, interesting and informative flick.

Matt~ With that big ole stick, I think she'd be ok...as for inhaling, I doubt she pulled a 'Clinton.' LOL.

Sweet Vicci~ All is good. Inundated w/ holiday music at work & enjoying some oldies, but goodies while at home:) Through out the week-end I'd write random lyrics down as I heard them, then just transferred them here :)

Anne~ Love It & Love the Beatles!

Enemy~ LOL, just feeding the ADHD! LOL....kinda kidding.

Mel~ Yes! Please get another song stuck in your head, I hear that one daily at work & gladly welcome some good old rock, blues and or funk!

Slag~ LOL ... I remember singing 'Jesus is Just Alright with Me' in the backseat of the car with my dad & then laughing when I heard him bragging to his sister that his children new gospel & that he didn't even teach it to us!

Fuzzy~ I guess I was showing my age...lol. Funny, how many songs I grew up with are already being re-made...Who Are You? Limp Bizcut or The Who? LOL. Maybe one day I'll do a list with some of my favorite lyrics, as opposed to lyrics recently heard.

Orhan ~ TY, I may hate TV...but I love music.

Thats great- I am terrible at remembering lyrics, so I had to highlight most of them ;)

On another note:
Your fertilizer scam was genius <3!!!

What a cool post! That must have taken a while- I was quite proud of myself for knowing most of those lines. :)

Skinny-You are right, many of the old songs are being remade but nothing can come close to the original infact when I watched that stupid Jessica Simpson's version of that beautiful song "Take my breath away" of Berlin I felt like strangling her for ruining such a lovely song.I feel if they can't do justice to the song they should never even attempt to remake it.

I want to strangle Jessica Simpson whether she sings or not.

I haven't been around lately, I've been working for the man every night and day. I'd tell you about it but time is slipping away leaving me with nothing but boring stories anyway. I have been spending time with my kids too, because you know...dragons last forever but not so little girls.

I have my books and my poetry to protect me. Because no-one knows what it's like to be the bad man, to be the sad man ....behind blue eyes.

I love how colorful your blog is. Did you say you want to send me something? Awwww, thanks. I'd love that, (((Skinny))) but don't go to too much trouble or expense!

skinnylittleblonde said...

Pixie~Since the lyrics were random & not the most famous of lines, I imagine most folks would have to highlight. On another note ...ssshhh...my DH still doesn't know.LOL.

Spado~Thanks for finding me & leaving your mark. I bopped into your blogworld & wish you the best.

Fuzzy-No Doubt!. I remember hearing Whitney Houston sing the National Anthem & it was beautiful, then Roseanne Barr sang it & it was absolutely horrifying. If you can't do it justice...just don't do it!

BBE~I just heard Jessica Simpson doing a southern accent on some commercial in the other room & realized #1 she's a flake & #2 southern girls do not sound like that. We have twangs and drawls that are all natural! Glad to hear you are keeping busy & hope you'll continue to keep us updated.

Anne~ No trouble or expense...just a moment, a thought, a wimb & it's on it's way. :) TY!

OOOOh these sweet songs take me back way back...thanks for the time travel. I was just fondling my Tapastry album yesterday and mind traveled back to 1969 oh now that was a good year~ Those were bitchen' songs thanks...

skinnylittleblonde said...

Oh good Lotus! Tapestry is wonderful... the only problem is that I always feel like I must sing along...loudly, with heart & soul, which is not so pretty.

Is that photo you? If so, you look like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. I see you just hit your enemy so hard with that sword that she broke into flames!

skinnylittleblonde said...

Anita~ First of all I love your moniker. LOL, at the KillBill comment. I think I have heard that more than once or twice. I'll take it as a compliment because I have also been told I look like a blonde Olive Oyl. LOL.
