Sunday. Glorious Day Off.

Sunday. Glorious day off.
Stayed up extra late last night in a private, personal celebration.
I knew I would awaken to a pile of past due bills, a heap of leaky-faucet soaked dishes, a hill of 'you-can-not-wear-me-again' clothes and wall-to-wall dog-hair flooring.
Late, late, late last night....I rolled up an oriental rug & for whatever reason, balanced my skinny spine on this cigar shaped pile.
I turned my head & saw Smokie coming.
He kaplopped down onto the floor and nestled his head into my neck.
plump. plump.plump.
The sound of his tail striking the hardwoods lured Vilulah up from her bed.
Rump up and head down, she too, nestled into me.
I loved on them and then fell still.
They joined me in the stillness.
Black nosed and dead-weight heads resting about my shoulders and chest... while I still remained balanced upon my makeshift resting spot.
Peace.
No staffers calling in sick. No deadlines. No laundry. No sirens. No bill collectors or shut-off notices. No dishes. No static. No concept of time.
Nope. None of this.

Just peace. My peace. The kind of peace I just love. Balanced, warm, trusting & true.

I miss my Marbeline still terribly so....but, Gawd, I love my dogs.

oh my love i know this peace, it slips in so quiet, you might miss it. but oh not us girls, when it comes we grab hold, and hang on, it is what gets us through the road trip of life. these little moments of peace pure and simple, often overlooked, maybe even wasted by some, but no not us, the simple joys of life are the finest of all, they are what fuels our body mind soul and heart with endless love and peace!! I love you!!

Orhan...Lol...yes, and I was being a true romantic, too! ;) P&LBS (The b.s. with the BS should give you something to ponder;)

Kimbies!!!! Gawd, I love you! I'm sure I overlook and miss out on many unrecognized moments of peace, but you are right...if I see it, I seize it...something I learned from you, my beautiful soulful sister! xoxoxoxox

Just Give Me Peace...Funny how peace can be so very, very quiet... barely a whisper, more like a breath and yet leave us so full, like we have had a thanksgiving day meal, cheesecake & all. ILYSL.

BLISS! Pure, uncluttered, unfettered, open, and standing alone, Bliss!

I gratefully bow ... for to speak in this sanctuary of still peace would be disrespectful of a moment created by your generous, and graciously offered, sharing of ... Bliss.

I love You.

Just stopping by to say 'hi'.
I remember you telling the story of leaving the dogfood out to see if they could pace themselves and Marbleline blowing up like a fat, little torpedo. That was soo funny the way you told it...cracked me up.

Late nights and early mornings...jsut catching up (not on sleep, mind you;)

John Michael...your words are always so very beautiful. Although I am not a very graceful person, I am gracious for your all that you say. xox

I just had a dog vomit in the truck on the way back from the store. Lovely to see how they managed to get it all down in between the seats where I can't get my hands to clean it...

I must love them, for they are still breathing peacefully...

The bastards...

For me, it was my cats, Holmes and Watson. Holmes had to be put down last year. I cried while I was reading your post, thinking about her. Thank you so much for helping to keep her and her sister's memory so vividly alive!

Vicci....Oh! Good Times! Can't wait to see all the wonderful pics you will take! Too Much Fun & Excitement!
BTW, her eyes always glowed green in pictures...don't know why because her eyes were really a gray/brown.

Scott...LoL, yes I have had my fair share of doggie explosions too. Still, they are worth it ;)

The Great CEO... Oh, I am so sorry! I didn't mean to make you tear up but perhaps you picked up on something here that no one else really did. I was all teared up when I wrote this... in pitiful miss of my Marbeline. Our little four-legged friends finally have wings that they always deserved.

Mel...Lol, you are not teary eyed too! I cannot trust my memory to post those silly things in any order other than the order in which my system saved the images or I woulda shot that one to you earlier! I apologize that I don't bop in as much as I used to, but I love the fact that when I do that you are always there as a beautiful reminder to be real and realistic and always, always believe. P&L, beautiful girl!
