Pixies For Peace Down by the Sea

Hippies, Gypsies and Pixies for Peace... Worker Bees, Hummingbirds and Butterflies... Living, Loving & Learning...

We were all about looney. Individual, distinct & separate personal hells. Hell bent and determined. These girls just wanted to have a moment of peace, a moment of fun. We knew we could take that moment & run, run, run.

We tripped over sprinkler heads, lawn chairs, long dresses and our very own feet, but we kept on running.

We crashed. We crashed into each other, the surf, the sand, skinny's 'home-made' game & eventually into bed.

We saw the midnight sky pull the clouded pink sheets back for the moon to rise and we watched the sun lift her covers, then bury her head again before breaking out for the day. Following their cue, we stayed up till 4am, arose at 6am and took naps at 8am.

We danced in the courtyard, down at the Tiki, in the mist machines, in the moonlight and in the rain. We pretended we were the rhythm section of the band and everyone played along. We met no strangers and knew no enemies.

The circle of love, I discovered isn't round. It's like the ocean. It has riptides that suck you in when it's time to get close and pushes you out when it's time to spread your wings. It has tentacles that keep you tethered no matter how far you roam. It leaves little reminders at your feet, in the sky and in the reflections you see. With every crashing wave, the shores change a wee bit, but the ocean remains the same...always there, always welcoming and with a power and force greater than man or any machine he could ever make. 'Home is Where the Waves Crash.'

We stayed the week then we decided to stay one more day. May the circle remain unbroken. Starfish & Sand dollars. Peace & Love.

Ahhhh, sister love, I miss you so very very much already, the endless sea of ice cold beer splashing between our toes at sunrise, the sandy chalkboard miles long just waiting for us to find the perfect piece of driftwood to scribble with, the sound of the tractors plowing for tomorrow, the music.....chimes for the sea! I miss you, miss you, miss you! and love you, love you, love you!

I'm just gonna smile broadly cuz I KNOW the joyous celebrations of living and loving sisters get to live on the beach.

Which is where I'll be headed.....in a bit more than a week......with sand and soul and surf--who could want?!

I was ready before your return--now I'm REALLY REALLY ready!!!!!!

Welcome back you lucky lady.

<--gonna pack a longskirt and the bubblegun for beachtime!!!!! :-)

Oceans....Yes, rejuvenation indeed! And it is simply amazing to me how quickly my everyday world diminishes all that the ocean give. I feel another life change a comin'!

Singleton....Lawd have mercy, I miss you guys too! We just might not make it to 2011, huh?

Wilson...Have lots more pics, but none of them quite captured the ambiance as well as our hearts & souls did.

Shimmerings...Lol, we all made it hope with bruises, scrapes or cuts. We are a graceful bunch.

Mel...Yay! I am so glad you are going away, especially to the beach! It really is soothing for the spirit & the soul and no offense to your neck of the woods...after that wretchedly long winter & the overflowing spring you had...you need it!

dee...Lol, was gonna call you last night, but fell asleep at a quarter past dark. Testacles & tentacles...I always get those words mixed up, had to check myself (hee, hee)

karma...Lol, yes, I too am learning and re-learning. It's not always pretty & I have to say, coming home was hard. It was like stepping out of a coming-of-age novel into a Stephen King hardback.

we may have left the beach but the beach has not left me!! all day i have been running to the clothes line with baskets full to bake stiff in the sun, pole beans cooking on the stove, and cheap steaks marinating, on my last trip to the line the breeze was calling me. so i grab a cold beer, my book and headed to the garden. in the distance thunder rumbled, the wind was light but cool.peace pure peace, so relaxed so calm i left the clothes to dance all night to the moon beams. love you !!!!!!

She...Go For It! Swoop them up like a crane & relic in the waves like a silly little bird waiting for periwinkles to wash up at your feet! Taking time for peace, I have found is like exercising ... you may not feel up for it when the notion is first brought up, but once you do it... there's never a regret.

Oh Dear Sweet Kimbies...Wish I was there with you, we could enjoy each others silence ;) and maybe catch a glimpse of that magical moon popping out again...or maybe even some shooting stars. ILYSVVM!

deeis4dana...hope you had a good week-end.Lol, outside of the 4rth, I have been working, working, working. Today is the last day of inventory @ my store :) but then tomm., I supervise another location :( I do miss you!

Scott...Lol, I think you summed it up pretty well! Too much fun & I might not have returned...

John-Michael...your words are always so beautiful, soothing & might I say, flattering. Thank you, I always feel blessed when you come around.

kj...Lol, I told my sister that I felt like he was the spirit of St Nick in the blogging arena. He always has so much to offer, expecting nothing in return & always sees the positive, profound side of things. A natural old soul.
