Every Blue Moon, Once in a While

'Every Blue Moon' ... meaning once in a while, you have got to try something new. Or at least new to you, not everything & not all the time. But some things you just got to try, at least once.

Chocolate pudding or cheesecake, baseball or football, painting or singing, horticulture or the sub-culture, break-through medications or those tried & true, but new to you...whatever it is and for what-ever reason, it compels you...

you may not like it & may never do it again.
you may love it & may not be able to ever do it again.
you may hate it and have to do it over & over again.

But there are some things in life you just have got to try...at least once.

This whole idea, as simple as it is, has made Nike a fortune...along with a number of pharmaceutical companies.

True that.
Good point in small font at bottom.
Late night tv is full of ads for new medications, pushing people to 'Just do it' Telling us it will improve our sleep, our libido, our mental well-being!

And sometimes, you have to try things TWICE! Like raw oysters and Sushi, once you get over the shock of it, it's all good!

Hey Brother! You are so right about the tv commercials...they create needs!
And, yup that's me skydiving...I figured if my legally blind brother could do it on his birthday, which happened to fall on Friday the 13th, and survive... that I had to give it a shot!

LotusBlossum~ First time & maybe the last. It's awful expensive.
I loved holding on to the photographers foot while free-falling.
The best part was when I pulled the chute...it was like being on a huge swing in the sky...bodies swailing so wide through the air...and then suddenly, it was so slow and peaceful, with a lot more control.

I tried liver once & will never do that again. But, this I would do again ... if I had 200 bones to blow & a comrad to join me.
