Consider me your man-off-a-leash with lots of love to give.. that sounded so much more sweeter in my head. Damn internets and its void-of-emotion wordings. So much love and hate in one paragraph.
Yesterday Peanuts (the neighbour's pup) stole onto the patio and sat with his little head on the chairswing, lookin' all kindsa needy, nuzzling my leg. I was hard pressed to actually get up and walk him back to his owner who was hollering for him across the street.
awwwhhh... me too!... but, add kitty kats to that, too, please! I've been baby-sitting my son's dog for a few days and she is really "our" dog, because when he first got her he dropped her off at my house in the country, where she kept me company. It was just the two of us for quite some time, and she was s little baby. She slept behind my back on the couch, and marveled at her own reflection out the back window, letting out little growls.... and she was unsure of the rain that fell from through the dogwood tree leaves, making her a little scared. She greets me at my beside, every morning, with those great big eyes of hers. I almost don't want to take her back home *sigh*... but, Gary's "Little Dog" (LD for short) keeps me plenty company, petting his ownself, with whatever foot or hand he sees hanging off the bed :) My mom has my three cats, Kat-Tu, Little Wing and Titi... I miss my animals!
Orhan...Lol, you are a hoot! Some men give dogs a bad wrap ;) Ironic how a player is sometimes called a 'dawg,' yet dogs are known for their unconditional devotion and love.
Mel....Awww, Peanuts sounds so sweet. I think dogs have a secondary sense to them...where they can innately tell if someone is generally good or bad and they act accordingly. It's no wonder he clumped his muzzle in your lap...
Shimmerings...Hahaha, your comment made me smile. Smokie, the 90lb one, does the same thing as LD. He'll nestle his muzzle under the covers to find my hands or feet (if not exposed)to demand some middle of the night or early morning affection. I think dogs have a great memory so even if your son were to take him back, or even take him to Timbucktoo, he'll always remember you...affectionately.
Scott...Lol...If ever there is a fellow dog-lover, I know it is you!
Singleton...back atchya! If only we could get one of clan to hunt bugs! At midnight I was carrying a two inch long horned beast into the back yard... the dogs watched, looking at me like 'Mom, uh...it's pouring out there.' ;) ILY
What WOULD we do without our furry babies? Canine,,,feline,,,I'll take ALL lines! Line 'em up & hug 'em all,,,they love us even when we aren't loveable.
I love cats and dogs and all the animals that give so easily of that special unconditional love you write so easily of. It's the same love you get from those special grandmothers. You got me again. p&l.
WilsonsArt...Mille & Callie meet Smokie & Vilulah! Yes, I'd be at a loss without my four-legged friends. Lol, although I have no cats myself...a couple have me. My front yard is their domain...they love the cool shade & fresh pond water :)
karma...birmingham baby! Hope all is well with you! I must come see you! The dawgs love you too...they love all good souls!
CEO...lol, next time around I will look for a man with qualities similar to my dogs...unconditionally loving, devoted, always along for the ride, quick to entertain or be entertained, rarely afraid & oh my, I could go on & on & on ;)
Everyone has their own experiences in life...some are familiar to our own, some are not. This is about mine... good and bad, funny & sad, twisted and true and some things in between. Peace & Love People
