The Voice...Celtic Woman

A couple of years ago, the man that lived with me had the TV on. He was in one room, I in another...the TV echoing out to us from yet another.
We heard this and met in the middle...
When she lets out with 'I am the voice of the future, bring me your peace
Bring me your peace, and my wounds, they will heal,'

I can't help but believe in the truth of the past, the promise of the future & all things meant to be...
The Voice.
Peace.

I hear your voice on the wind
And I hear you call out my name

"Listen, my child," you say to me
"I am the voice of your history
Be not afraid, come follow me
Answer my call, and I'll set you free"

I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
I am the voice that always is calling you
I am the voice, I will remain

I am the voice in the fields when the summer's gone
The dance of the leaves when the autumn winds blow
Ne'er do I sleep thoughout all the cold winter long
I am the force that in springtime will grow

I am the voice of the past that will always be
Filled with my sorrow and blood in my fields
I am the voice of the future, bring me your peace
Bring me your peace, and my wounds, they will heal

I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
I am the voice that always is calling you
I am the voice

I am the voice of the past that will always be
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
I am the voice of the future
I am the voice, I am the voice

WOW.

What a voice.
And what a message she brings this morning.
I can see why you met in the middle for that one.

We listen to be bit of Celtic music in this household--it's hauntingly beautiful music.

Absolutely beautiful.

Those ladies are incredible. We almost went to see them in concert. The fiddle player (violin) is very talented too, able to run and hop all over the place while playing. What beautiful lyrics! Thanks for printing them :)

Mel... it takes me away & I think I would follow that voice anywhere :) So very peaceful & that violinist! She has a spirit that is absolutely captivating.

Orhan...Agreed! ;)

Shimmerings... I checked out seeing them as well, but the were not in the budget over here. Thank goodness for PBS & You Tube.

Karma... :)and we have no idea what all that really may entail, do we? And we may never know, but we gotta believe...

SisterSing...Not a day passes that I don't think 'today, I am one day closer' It almost never feels like I am closer, but I tell myself that...I remind myself...I believe. xoxox

Sending peace on
the winds my friend,

That still small voice
that sets us free
to the treasures of the
open moment,

My love to you and the circle,

M

Thank You Maithri....
your print is small, but your words are huge...the moments linger & the circle grows bigger, deeper & stronger.

Deeis4dana....Lol, me too. There is another song, where the drums literally make my heart beat to their rythym. Perhaps, one day I will post it too. I don't really appreciate ALL 'celtic' music, but I love this band.
