Lotus Blossom

Th Lotus represents the world, sun & moon. It reflects beauty, silence & beginnings, mystery & truth, creation & resurrection, perfection & purity.

Things I can never add up to...but things that I can strive for.

It is historically sentiment to Egyptians & Indians...from the far East to the West, it is recognized for it's simple beauty & tenderly strong petals.

Happy Friday & here's to the Lotus Blossom!

...and grows in muddy waters~
I think Lotusblossoms are awesome! My favorite flower! Out of the muddy murky water comes this beautiful flower~

Kinda like people, where we come from...who we were~ who we are now~ who/what we strive to be...

When we are young dumb and full of fun... to older and wiser and full of fun... hopefully:)

Matt~ and all day it felt like Thursday, but busier!
Wreckless~ Happy Weekend to you!
Lotusblossom~ 'and grows in muddy words' is truly like you say, like us. LoL, I remember that statement, btw...the one about being young & dumb. It's funny because although I know I am getting older, I essentially feel the same.
Aw, Queen Anne, you flatter me so! But you're right about the Lotusblossoms!
BarDouble~ Evidence of Mother Nature at work :)
KJ TY for stopping by...hope the week-ends good to you!

Seeing a lotus blossom on a serene lake is a sight to behold. I remember we used to have a lake near home where at one season of the year the whole lake would be filled with beautiful lovely blooming lotus flowers. You are right, this flower is held at a high esteem in India and infact considered sacred.Infact a lot of life philosophy is based on the life of lotus. Hope you are enjoying a great weekend Skinny!

tai~ Your comment prompted me to do a pictorial search of that lake (I have never been to CA) & WOW! What beauty!

ILTV~ I learn something new everyday on this blogger-world. I had no idea that you could eat their roots, but find it completely beleivable that they were yummy...I bet they are healthy too! Asian fusion might be like Tex-mex...Americanized versions of traditional foods from other parts.

Fuzzy~ I bet that was a beautiful sight...since I killed (accidently, sigh) all of our fish in the fish pond...we really need some more life there & maybe I can get some Lotus to grow there!

What did you mean when you say you still feel young and dumb? Did you mean young, or dumb or both? Because I don't feel any different than I felt when I was younger either, though I feel somewhat smarter. I don't understand peoply my age who talk about themselves like they are old. It especially gets on my nerves when someone says we are getting old. I started a new blog. I was blogging at work and decided I don't want to take the chance anymore, so I closed off my old one and started a new one. You should be able to click on me now to get there. Beautiful picture. They are hard to grow aren't they?

BBE~ Lol, I did not say that. I beleive it was a comment & my interpretation of what they meant was that even out of the mud a beautiful flower can emerge...much like how someone young & dumb can grow to be someone mature & wise, and still ever so beautiful.
Personally, I embrace aging. It's inevitable if all goes well ;)
